Question:
Apparently, a cataract is forming in my good right eye. My guess is that I
am now about 1.8 D more myopic than I was earlier. How much more change in
lens power can I expect?
It is getting more difficult to drive especially at night.
Answer:
I experienced the same change in my right eye. It was still getting
more myopic at the time I decided to proceed with cataract surgery as
approved by my health plan. Had the surgery Nov 29, experienced no
problems, and expect to have surgery on the left eye next month. Will
need new lens prescriptions for both eyes but, hopefully, won't need
new ones every year or so like before.
