Early Cataract and Drivers' Test

Question:
Can anyone recommend a doctor in the Spokane, WA - Coeur d'Alene area who would not be as restrictive?

Answer:
Cataracts can be quite insidious, stealing your sight without you even realizing it. I've talked to so many people who, after having had cataract surgery, commented that they didn't realize how bad their vision was until after they had the surgery!

And you *should* be checked every couple of years for glaucoma and macular degeneration - with a good thorough visualization of the retina and optic nerve and pressure check. Again, two eye disease that can steal your vision and by the time you notice problems, it's too late (esp. with glaucoma - the #1 cause of *preventable* blindness!)

I even encourage people who do not wear glasses to get regular eye checkups for that very reason! No need to fear cataract surgery - over 2 million were done inthe US last year and about 99% turn out great. I do not know any docs in Spokane but most ophthalmologists do a fine job with cataracts.
