Ten Common Sense Reasons Why You SHould Not Have Lasik

Question:
With permanent punctual occlusion do you mean to say cauterization of the Puncta ? This is irreversable step , isnt it so ? Now this punctual plugs, will it cause any irritation to eyes and does it make me feel as if something is always in my eyes? How often should one change when it comes to temporary punctual plugs. Is it possible for individuals to change it by themselves or u need a doctor everytime around you change ?

Answer:
In fact, this study showed that laser energy did not cause lens related chemical changes suggestive of cataractogenesis and further, the study was inconclusive if the small, but measurable, increase in malondialdehyde levels actually would cause cataracts.

Perhaps you should look at the November 1999 paper by Giasson, et al that determined conclusively that excimer energy does not cause cataractous ferrous oxidation. There is, however, ample evidence that shows the bio mechanical components that may cause cataracts are not scientifically shown to be problematic in post-refractive surgery patients.

Unless you have more than a theory, I suggest you express your opinion as an unsubstantiated opinion not supported by fact. Otherwise, you will be misleading people into believing something that is not shown to be true.
