Osmotic Cataract?

Question:
Are there any treatments specific to osmotic cataracts? Is the condition reversible?

Answer:
Osmotic cataracts refer to cataracts in an out-of-control diabetic. Not all cataracts cause yellowing - only nuclear sclerotic ones. You may have cortical spoking, anterior or posterior cortical, or posterior subcapsular cataract. You can't affect a cataract with antioxidants after it has occurred. Cataracts are best warded off my getting your kids to wear UV coated sunglasses - altho I can't get my kid to. Sue PS - Rembrandt and Monet had NS cats. Rembrandt's paintings took on the yellow hue - and Monet reportedly complained following cataract removal that everything appeared so blue to him. He said he was buying all blues. Blue and yellow are complementary colors. If a yellow filter covered your eyes for years and was then removed, you'd report everything seeming blue, too. He was just hyperaware.
