Question:
Does anyone have personal expeience with alternative cataract treatment?
What was the therapy? How effective was it?
Answer:
Adelle Davis has a lengthy discussion of nutritional factors which may
be involved in the etiology of cataracts, though few M.D.s are aware of
this. See her "Let's Get Well", pp 282-283.
You should definitely read HER discussion, because you'll need her book
to learn just what she recommends in her "antistress diet". She mentions
several vitamins that are important, but stresses that just popping one
or two supplements isn't likely to do much for you. You need a very
intensive "supernutrition" program which includes ALL the nutrients
that may be involved. The vitamins she does specifically mention in
this section, though, are B2, B6, E, C, and pantothenic acid. And she
mentions that an ample supply of protein is needed.
